These guys, and this song in particular, are my personal obsession at the minute. With a summery aura and a shimmering video to go along with it, this is THE song of the warmer months so far. And yet, with all of the influences of the big burning ball in the sky, the three-piece indie-tronica group Polarsets hail from Newcastle. Wonders will never cease.
Containing vocals not-unlike Adam Young of Owl City and the melodic genius of Friendly Fires and those of a similar ilk, I'm predicting big things for these guys. Having already performed at the BBC Introducing stage at Radio 1's Big Weekend 2011 will no doubt have done wonders for their notability, and if there's any justice in the world, they're gonna have a bright future ahead of them.
Not quite as bright as the star in the song title, mind.
