Penguin Prison - Don't Fuck With My Money

Not afraid to wear his 80s influences on his sleeve, Penguin Prison's synthpop is a dream to listen to, and his vocals make it increasingly likely that he could take the charts by storm in the future...

Having already had some songs circulating around the web for a few years now, including the wonderfully funky "A Funny Thing", New Yorker Chris Glover has finally gotten around to releasing his début self-titled album. One of the songs on said album is the rather inappropriately titled "Don't Fuck With My Money". Despite the immediate aura of doom and gloom brought by the title, it's actually quite a jolly number.

With Michael Jackson-meets-Jake Shears-from-the-Scissor-Sisters vocals and a retro pop meets disco melody to carry the lyrics wonderfully. Fans of 1980s disco music and the latest synthpop bands alike should fall deeply in love with this one.
