Bombay Bicycle Club - Shuffle

It's not exactly the freshest of songs now, or is it the most unknown, but my lord, they're definitely one of the best bands around right now.

On the outside Bombay Bicycle Club look like they shouldn't be in a band. Over the past couple of years their image has become more rockstar than it was in the "I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose" days, when their geekish appearance would've fooled many people. But anyone who delved into the BBC world and discovered the talents hidden underneath the misleading exterior would've been in for a treat.

Now, with their third studio album released only this week, the Bombay Bicycle Club hype train just keeps on chugging away. With the lead single "Shuffle" racking up hundreds of thousands of views in such a short space of time and with the band having recently come away from the Reading and Leeds festivals with a headline slot on the NME stage, it seems that there's no stopping them now.

If you actually take one listen to "Shuffle" then you'll understand why their popularity is at an all-time high. With a cheery piano backing and odd joyful sounds interspersed with Jack Steadman's crooning vocals and deep bass, the lead single has everything needed to become a summer anthem for years to come.
